HOA Security Cameras, Installed Right and Verified

Security cameras are one of the most requested amenities in HOA communities, and one of the easiest projects to get wrong: wrong coverage, wrong storage, wrong installer, and a system nobody maintains after the ribbon cutting.

AHS manages camera projects for boards the way we manage any capital project: define what the community actually needs, bid it to qualified installers, supervise the installation, and verify every camera, angle, and recording before final payment.

We work for your board, and no one else.

What boards deal with

  • Quotes range from suspiciously cheap to shockingly high, with specs the board cannot evaluate.
  • Cameras get installed where they are easy to mount, not where incidents happen: entrances, mail areas, pools, and parking.
  • A year later, half the cameras are offline and nobody owns maintenance.

How CAP covers it

  1. We source and bid the security camera contract: qualified vendors, competitive bids, and a scope of work written to protect the community, not the vendor.
  2. We hold and direct the contract on your board's behalf, so the vendor answers to someone who checks.
  3. We are on site, on a schedule the vendor does not control, verifying the contracted work was actually performed.
  4. Coverage planning against real incident points: entrances, amenity areas, mail centers, and parking, agreed with the board before a single bid goes out.
  5. Post-installation verification: every camera checked live, recording confirmed, retention verified, and access handed to the board, not the installer.
  6. Every visit is documented with photos and a written report to your board. Problems get flagged with severity and escalated the same day.
  7. Invoices are checked against verified work before your community pays.

Common questions

Does AHS install the cameras?

Licensed low-voltage installers perform the installation. AHS defines the scope, runs the bids, supervises the work, and verifies the finished system so your board is not taking the installer’s word for it.

Can you fix a camera system another company installed?

Yes. We start with an assessment of what exists, what works, and what the community actually needs, then scope the corrective work and bid it. Boards are often paying for storage and monitoring they do not receive.

What about ongoing monitoring and maintenance?

We build maintenance into the contract so the system stays alive after installation, and our site visits include camera spot checks so offline equipment gets caught in weeks, not years.

Give your community the asset protection layer it needs.
